VacASIA

Yesterday was so much fun. We took scooters into a super rural area of Taiwan including mountain scapes and massive temples in the hills. It took about an hour or more to get out of the city, but it was so great to just cruise around on open roads. In the hills we went to this place with hundreds of monkeys and they just sit right on the pathway and grab fruits and peanuts right out of your hands. They are snobby monkeys though, as Garret was trying to feed one a banana and it smacked it out of his hand and hissed at him…. I guess that’s what happens when people come to just give you food all day- lifestyle of the rich and famous.  After that we came back into the city and went to 7/11 (again) for some Tsingtaos and Dave had his first Tea Egg. For dinner we went to teppanyaki, which is basically Benihanna’s, but the real deal, I.E. no shrimp tails flying around the restaurant, but amazing food cooked right in front of you. After dinner we went to a typical asian club including laser beams everywhere, gang members showing us their guns (real weapons), and transvestites. To say the least it was quite the experience. Today we are taking a bus up to Taipei and going to Bangkok!
